KENDALL COUNTY AGGIE MOMS' CLUB

BOERNE, COMFORT AND

 FAIR OAKS RANCH, TEXAS

July 2007

Howdy,

Welcome to the Kendall County Texas A&M Mothers’ Club, or  “Aggie Moms”. The Kendall County Aggie Moms Club helps to make sure that our Aggie students have a smooth transition from home to their college life.  We offer them encouragement and assistance through “goodie boxes” during final exams in the fall and spring semesters and scholarships.  We give out scholarships to incoming freshmen, senior, and grad students.  We are also on call for our Aggie students in many other ways including tickets available, rooms/houses available for rent, hotel rooms, rides for kids, or packages transported back and forth. We can even send someone to check on them if they are sick.  We invite you to come and learn more about our club and services.

Secondly, we hope to help you, our new and returning Aggie Moms, by becoming a part of the Aggie family network.  As an Aggie Mom you have a unique connection to the University that many other universities do not provide for their student’s parents.  We are represented on campus by the Federation of Texas A&M University Mother’s Clubs, which has the University president’s wife as an honorary member and an open door to the office of the President of the University.  There are 124 Aggie Mothers' Clubs. By joining the Mothers' Clubs, it's an excellent way to become familiar with Texas A&M, support the students, and form friendships.

Your membership is vital to our local efforts.  We need your support in all fund raising events and your willingness to share your time and talents. We hope that as you attend the monthly meetings, which are both informative and entertaining, you will sense the shared bond of respect, admiration and friendship for all the women who have come together for a common cause, which is to share, care and commit to keeping the timeless tradition of the AGGIE MOM alive and well.

I have been a member of the Kendall County Aggie Moms club since 1998 when my first daughter started at A&M.  Last year was by far the best.  Being very involved I got to know a lot more of the members and a lot more about how the club works.  I learned so much and treasure the friends that I have made.  I am looking forward to this next year.  I love being an Aggie Mom, getting to know other Aggie Moms, and making a difference in the lives of all our Aggie sons and daughters.

We cordially invite you to come and join us.  Our meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month at Boerne Middle School South library at 7:00 pm.  We look forward to seeing you at the meeting and encourage you to bring other Aggie Moms to join our Aggie family.

It is an honor to have the opportunity to represent you as your President for 2007-2008.  Hope to see you at “Howdy Night”.
