BOERNE, COMFORT AND

 FAIR OAKS RANCH, TEXAS

Kendall County A&M Mothers’ Club

General Meeting

Boerne Wine Company

October 12, 2010

An informal meeting and welcoming was held at Boerne Wine Company.

We began with introductions of everyone present.

It was announced that Wanda McCarthy would be taking over for Cindy Roberts as Vice President of membership.  Also, Karen Worth will be taking over the position of Treasurer from Michelle Kane.  We thank Cindy and Michelle for all their contributions to the club over the years.

Diana Albrecht asked Pat’s Creative Stitches to create our quilt square for federation this year.  They created a design that has the Gig’Em symbol inside a heart.  It includes Kendall County Aggie Moms written across the heart.  This design was liked by all the members.  A motion was made by Wanda McCarthy to make this design our new club logo.  A second was made by Laura Stewart.  The motion was passed.  Diana will find out about getting the design in a smaller size so it can be placed on a shirt.  Kim Worth will check on getting polo shirts.

A couple of thank yous were read by Vickie Reilly.  The thank yous were received from our freshman scholarship winners.

Discussion was held on the 90 hour scholarships that were awarded last April.  Kim will get with Michelle Kane to send off checks to students whose checks were returned from A&M.

Next topic of discussion was the Golf Tournament.  It will be held at Fair Oaks Country Club on Nov. 8.  11:00 am is registration and 12:30 pm is tee-off.  We will need folks there at 10:00 am to help with setup.  A signup sheet was passed around.  We will be collecting silent auction items.  Cindy Roberts has offered her office at Kuper Sotheby’s Realty on Main St. as a collection point.

Jane Neuenschwander owns a business that sells Miche Handbags.  She is offering the club 20% of each sale that is made to a Kendall County Aggie Mom.

Goody box night will be Dec 2.  The boxes will be taken up to A&M on Dec 4.

The Lucky Bucks winner was Miles Albrecht.  Also included with the money was an A&M travel kit donated by Jeanine Schuchardt.

Next meeting will be Nov. 2, location TBD.
